Square 2 Square Bike Ride on May 18: Fayetteville to Bentonville
Church Street Will be Closed 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the return of the “Square 2 Square Bike Ride” on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The Square 2 Square Bike Ride is 30-mile fun ride from Fayetteville to Bentonville, organized in collaboration with Bentonville Parks and Recreation. This year’s ride is presented by Clif Bar & Company. Participants will start the ride across from City Hall in downtown Fayetteville between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m. The ride will travel north along the Razorback Greenway, ending in downtown Bentonville at Lawrence Plaza, with finisher festivities between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The start area for the ride will be the large parking lot located at Mountain Street and Church Avenue. Church Street, from Spring Street to Mountain Street, will be closed to traffic from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. for the event. Drivers coming into the downtown and square area should also be aware that participants of the ride will be traveling to Frisco Trail from the start line via Church Avenue (northbound) and Spring Street (westbound). The parking lot and Church Avenue parking space closures are from 5:00 to11:00 a.m. Cars not vacated from event spaces by 5 a.m. on Saturday will be towed at the owner’s expense.
With nearly 2,000 riders, the Razorback Greenway will be crowded. Please use caution or avoid the trails during this time.
